Veal Loaf

Ingredients
1kg minced veal
3 slices stale bread
½ cup milk
½ cup onions, finely chopped
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
250g fresh mushrooms, chopped and sautéed in butter (optional)
2 eggs
¼ cup cream
To taste: thyme, nutmeg, allspice, salt and pepper

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC).
Soak the stale bread in milk.
Beat the eggs with the cream.
Drain the bread and add to the egg/cream mixture.
Then add the cheese, minced veal, onions, parsley, thyme, nutmeg and spices.
Mix well.
If you are using the sautéed mushrooms, add at the same time.
Beat to make the mixture homogenous.
Add seasoning, if necessary.
Place the mixture in a well greased loaf pan.
Bake in oven at 350ºF (180ºC) for about an hour.
