Pot Cooked Macaroni & Beef This can be eaten as is or placed in a casserole dish, topped with grated cheese and bake uncovered in oven at 180°C for approximately 20 minutes, or until cheese is golden. Ingredients 300g minced beef
1 onion, chopped
500g uncooked macaroni
800g can of tomatoes, mashed or puree
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoon dried basil
1 ½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon thyme
2 to 3 cups of water
Instructions In a large pot, fry onions until soft.
Add mince and cook until browned, stirring with a fork to break up the mince.
Add raw pasta to pot and stir.
Add tomatoes, salt, Worcestershire sauce, basil, oregano, thyme and enough water to cover the pasta.
Cover and reduce heat, simmer for approx 15 minutes, or until pasta is cooked.
